But with Hieroglyphs AI, you can identify hieroglyphic characters in books, on steles, or on temple walls quickly.Heres how the app works: • The app shows the code in Gardiners list of Egyptian hieroglyphs and any phonetic meanings associated with the character. • You can search for recognized hieroglyphs in the built-in Ancient Egyptian dictionary (Mark Vygus 2018). • Knowing the code or phonetic meaning of a hieroglyphic sign, you can find additional information in Gardiners list of Egyptian hieroglyphs, search for words with the character in electronic dictionaries and word lists, and even search the Internet for phonetic meanings. • The app features a zoom function and a viewfinder to ensure accurate recognition of hieroglyphic signs.To use the app, you can either utilize your smartphones camera or upload images from your gallery. Heres how it works:Camera Usage: Simply position the viewfinder over the hieroglyph you want to recognize. Adjust the zoom if needed or adjust the distance between your phone and the object to ensure the hieroglyph fits within the viewfinders frame. Then, tap the camera button located at the bottom of the screen.Gallery Upload: Alternatively, you can select an image from your gallery by accessing the gallery menu. Choose the desired image containing the hieroglyph you want to recognize.In both cases, once the image is processed, you will see a panel displaying the main recognition results. This includes the selected portion of the image with the hieroglyphic sign, the character identified by the program in a standard font, the code of the hieroglyph according to Gardiners list of Egyptian hieroglyphs, and the probability of the sign being recognized. If the hieroglyphic sign has phonetic values associated with it, you can view them by clicking the downward arrow.Other features of the app include the ability to work without an Internet connection, Dark theme support, and no registration or login required.
